The Stress Factor

The Stress Factor is my Honors Thesis Project which I created with my faculty mentor Dr. Jay in the Fall of 2020. As a sophomore in the Spring of 2019, I was experiencing symptoms of severe burnout and didn’t know how to ask for help. I felt so utterly alone. Creating this project was my way of helping other students who may be in a similar position, and letting them know that no one should ever have to experience the symptoms of chronic stress and burnout alone. I wanted to open up in a raw and honest way to teach others about my experience and hopefully, connect them with the resources they may need.

Resources

Throughout the Fall of 2020, I tried out a plethora of different stress relief methods in order to discover what was the most effective for me. I documented my journey in hopes that what worked best for me might also benefit someone else! Click here to view the resources I tried out.

Conversations

I specifically wanted to look into the connection between chronic stress and working in the fashion industry as I noticed people in fashion seemed to experience high rates of burnout. I discussed this topic with fashion professionals through a series of zoom interviews.
