MPORIUM AT MARIST

MPorium at Marist is a retail entrepreneurship boutique on Marist College campus that is entirely student run. In the Fall of 2018 I was a Visual Merchandising Consultant and our assistant photographer for content creation. In the Spring of 2019 I was the E-Commerce manager for the brand, the Beauty Buyer, and a Visual Merchandising Consultant. In the Fall of 2020 I became our Student Director of Store Operations which is a position I still currently hold. My time at MPorium has taught me how to be a strong leader, effective group member, and resilient in the presence of rapid change.

Student Director of Store Operations

I recently became the Student Director of Store Operations at MPorium at Marist. I am in charge of ensuring the store is operationally functional, that we maintain cohesion across all store divisions, and that we have all necessary supplies and materials for the store. I manage a team of three who help me facilitate these tasks.

In the Fall of 2020, our store visual concept was based off of the “Choose Your Own Adventure” children’s novels. In order to visually amplify that narrative, I designed in-store signage and marketing content that resembled the CYOA book covers. I used Adobe illustrator to create my original artwork. Assistant Photographer

In the Fall of 2018, I worked as our assistant photographer for MPorium at Marist taking mostly behind the scenes and in-store shots. In the Spring of 2019 when I started as E-Commerce Manager, I also took photos for the E-Commerce platform. I took this bts photo during a lifestyle shoot.

Visual Merchandising Consultant

I worked as a Visual Merchandising Consultant from the Fall of 2018 to the Spring of 2019. I assisted in merchandising our store for each new product launch and reinventing the store layout to entice customers. I took this photo in the Fall of 2018 after our first store set.

In the Spring of 2019 as part of my role as a Visual Merchandising Consultant, I created floor plans to help accurately conceptualize how we wanted to arrange the store visually.

NY NOW Trade Show

In the Spring of 2019, I was the Beauty Buyer for MPorium at Marist. Part of my position as Beauty Buyer was to attend the NY NOW Trade Show in NYC. I sourced new vendors, found inspiration for future product offerings, and sought out the latest trends to ensure our brand stayed relevant to our consumer.
